A Collaboration Of Genius

"A Collaboration of Genius," featured an evening of new music composed and arranged by Orbert Davis including a classical concerto of four works from the 2006 Man Out of Time recording by noted ragtime pianist and Chicago native Reginald Robinson, adaptations of selections from Grammy-nominated vocalist Kurt Elling's Nightmoves, and other special works. The evening featured individual performances by Elling and Robinson with the orchestra as well as a student ensemble featuring 20 top high school jazz musicians as the opening program for the musical evening.
