BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL MUSIC PROGRAMS

Chicago Jazz Philharmonic is proud to be an approved and contracted vendor to provide before and after “Out of School Time” Arts & Culture enrichment programs for all Chicago Public Schools. Employing components of its signature “Jazz Alive” program, Chicago Jazz Philharmonic can serve students at all levels, Grades 1-12, in music and instrument instruction. Our interactive curriculum teaches music theory through direct application on a variety of instruments – drum buckets, hand chimes, recorder, piano, boom whackers. Instrumental ensemble instruction is also provided in Drum Line, Hand Chimes, Strings, and Jazz Band. In addition to learning and performing music, additional outcomes of the program include improved life skills: attention, focus, and discipline – most of all, FUN!
